Artist statement: This quilt honors the caregivers of the orphan herd at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya whose staff protect and care for adult and baby endangered species. They have successfully raised 316 orphans and working with vets, pilots, and anti-poaching teams they’ve attended 10,402 veterinary cases.
