Materials: old tarp, army blanket, fabric paint, chalk, perle cotton thread,reticulated foam, glue, resin eyes

Techniques: drawing, painting, draping, flat patterning, free motion and hand quilting, hand embroidery

Artist statement: Part of my veterans series African Lions are endangered by loss of habitat, hunting, and changing climate. I used damaged army and work surplus goods to express both the toughness and fragility of this threatened species.
