Artist’s statement: The care of orphaned baby

elephants and rhinos has been taken up notably by the

Sheldrick Trust and several animal shelter groups in Africa. The babies have delicate skin and without access to the warmth of their mothers, the keepers wrap them in blankets in chilly weather. To follow their progress you can view daily posts by the Sheldrick Trust on Instagram.
